The BEST Place to Shop for Affordable Halloween Costumes!

Every year, we all spend arguably hundreds of dollars (or more) on Halloween costumes, props, makeup, décor, and more, but I’ve finally discovered the BEST place to shop for affordable Halloween costumes that are new and/or used! The answer? Savers Thrift Shop!

Affordable Costumes for the Whole Family

To be honest, I was not even aware that I had a Savers nearby until I looked it up. I had only been to Savers in other areas and I knew they frequently carried awesome thrift finds, but I had no idea they carried new and used Halloween costumes or I would have found my local shop much, much sooner!

Tons of Variety and Halloween Costume Options

If you’re unfamiliar with Savers, they are a really awesome thrift store that accepts donations from others for used clothing, decor, shoes, and other home and apparel items. I didn’t think they would carry used Halloween costumes, though, but now that I’ve discovered it, I feel like I’ve been let in on a seriously awesome secret!

Super Affordable Halloween Props

I often spend so much money on Halloween costumes for makeup looks for my blog and various Halloween parties and events I go to with friends (who wants to wear the same costume to every party, am I right?). And don’t even get me started on how much I spend on Halloween props and makeup. So I was beyond thrilled to find that Savers offers some incredibly low prices on both their new and gently used Halloween costumes, props, makeup, and decor.

My nephew went shopping with me, so, of course, he was being a total nerd!

I probably could’ve spent way more money at Savers than I ended up dropping the other day. I won’t be surprised if I find my way back there because they have some great Halloween items! I ended up walking out mainly with Halloween props to create some fun Halloween looks for you guys and for costumes I plan to wear to various parties this year.

These two props will be helping me create a fun Mad Moxxi look (from Borderlands) which, if you don’t know who she is, is basically a steampunk/mime character, so stay tuned for that. 😉

I also picked up some awesome devil horns, fake blood, and glow-in-the-dark lipstick. Within minutes of arriving home, I was trying on this lipstick; it’s so much fun!

I recommend leaving the lipstick near light from an open window before applying it to get the best results, as the pigment will absorb the light and help the glow be much brighter!

I already used the awesome red wig I purchased for a whopping $8 (!!!) to create this fun Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas makeup look. ♥

Needless to say, I’ll be shopping at Savers and Value Village for all my Halloween needs for years to come because they definitely have the best deals around! Be sure to hop on over to their website and find a location near you to check it out for yourself; you’ll be saving MAJOR CASH on Halloween costumes for the entire family—especially little kids, who go through so many costumes over the years.

I love thrifting, so I’m happy to see you found some Halloween costumes in a second hand store 😉 I love the wig, I kinda want to get one for myself, like purple hair or a super blond one. Would be fun for a change on Halloween

yes me too! I always go to thrift stores for unique pieces. This wig was SO CHEAP you can’t beat the price haha and fun color wigs are so cool! I love the purple and white ones. They had tons of options as well for everything Halloween; I was so amazed at how much they had there. Even though I thrift shop a lot, I never would’ve thought they carry Halloween stuff so it was an awesome discovery!
