5 Thoughts Only Bloggers Will Understand

Last Modified: December 29, 2016 at 2:19 pm by Tianna | Leave a comment

If you’re here, you know I’m a blogger haha, but if not, I’m here to tell you – what’s up? I’m Tianna and I am a blogger. If it sounds a little AA confessional, it’s because it is! Not because I have an addiction, but I think all bloggers will agree that we’re a little quirky and the act of blogging and other blogging-related thoughts tend to bleed over into real life so I thought it would be fun (and hopefully funny) to share some thoughts that I get all the time which I think other bloggers will definitely be able to relate to. I hope you enjoy ♥

5 Thoughts Only Bloggers Will Understand

  1. Can I blog this? Blogging about stuff means you, inevitably, want to blog about ALL THE THINGS! It can be really hard for me to pick out what actually makes sense to blog about haha. A weird experience on OkCupid? Can I blog that? My dog’s quirky habits? Can I blog it? A short attention span will do this to you.
  2. Can I instagram this? My boyfriend gets so annoyed with me because every time we go somewhere with pretty things, a pretty view, or maybe just the right lighting, I want to instagram it. I know I have a problem, but it’s like a compulsion. I can’t help myself, okay? So, without a doubt, I’m always like, ” Can I instagram this, beb?” haha. His response: JUST ONE PHOTO! Me: Kayyyyy haha.
  3. I need to try that pinterest project and blog it! Who isn’t obsessed with pinterest? Maybe I live in a bubble and know too many bloggers so I just think everyone is on it, but really. Pinterest is amazing – if you’re not on it, you’re missing out on life…and DIY! haha.
  4. Does my blog suck? This is a horrible thought that crosses our minds every now and again. Either we saw some huge blogger’s blog (because we were lurking again) or we’ve had too much free time lately to dissect our own blog and find everything wrong with it. Either that or maybe we’ve endured a whole lot of rejection from our brand pitches lately and that’s just depressing. It makes me want to digitally yell (or type) at them when I don’t get a reply back. I know I’m being ridiculous and childish, but I can’t help it. I want attention when I want it. It’s a flaw. Why else would I be here blogging if I didn’t think there was a possibility you would care about my existence? LOL. Just saying…
  5. When will I be e-famous? This is more tongue-in-cheek than anything. I really don’t give a shit if I ever get e-famous, but once you start blogging, the thought definitely crosses your mind haha. I’m not going to lie to you and say I’m above it all, despite not caring, but it is a thought and all of us have it. Who wouldn’t want to have lots of money, popularity among the interwebs, and cool brand opportunities? You know you would, if you could. I’m just keeping it real!

YES! To all of these. When I first started blogging and had some of these happen I felt so weird, but lucky for me I’ve got a supportive family/friends who indulge my weirdness about capturing things and doing blog-worthy endeavors. As for the more negative stuff, those do suck. I think no matter how big you get, you will struggle with those from time to time – it’s just part of blogging.

haha glad I’m not alone in this! yeah it’s good to have supportive people to be around to witness the weirdness haha. yeah, I agree, it’s a part of the blogging world to experience the good with the bad and I’m okay with that 🙂 thanks for stopping by Kati!

I have these thoughts ALL the time. I also worry about my “blogging tribe” not liking me.

haha I’m glad I’m not alone! Yeah I always get those insecure thoughts of ” bet all my online blogger friends secretly hate me” lol. it’s kind of irrational, but there it is. thanks for stopping by Heather!

Definitely with you on the first three! I used to joke with my friend that I should try certain things just so I could blog about them! 😛

I can totally relate to ALL of these! I try writing personal posts but end up tossing them out because I feel like it is too much. Also, I kind of regret sharing my blog with everyone that I know because now when I write a piece all that I think about is if it is something my grandma will be reading!

I totally know what you mean! I write about weird things all the time and halfway through I’m like, nobody will read this or people are going to be like WTF? lol so I scrap them. haha my family and friends know I have a blog, but most of them totally do not read it so I don’t worry too much. lucky you’re grandma reads your blog! that’s so nice! 😀

definitely true, Autumn! I couldn’t agree more – you never know what blogging will be like every day and that kind of makes it both scary and exciting 🙂

You should get a second blog (maybe anon) where you can blog about all the things you aren’t sure 😉

My husband isn’t too fond of me taking pics of food, but well, I just tell him I am working.

I am not addicted to Pinterest I’m afraid and yes I know that’s kinda weird.

Of course my blog sucks, if it wouldn’t I couldn’t spend hours of pure entertainement on tweaking it.

When I will be e-famous? Dunno, soon I suppose? ;p

haha thanks Alex – I should! Sometimes I find myself getting all political or like wanting to discuss feminism and gender issues – not really appropriate for this blog, I know, but maybe I’ll start another blog then. thanks for the idea! haha I know! My boyfriend gets so annoyed if I take photos at meals, but it’s WORK! Thanks for that excuse I will be using it now haha. aww I love pinterest – how can you not? lol. I get addicted to searching apartment/bath decor – that’s my downfall! Your blog does NOT suck – I love your blog girl! I hope you’re e-famous soon too!! ♥ have a nice weekend ♥

Yaaaas! I really enjoyed reading this post! It was as if you were inside my mind! :’) I can relate to all of these ahaha. When it comes to the e-fame one, I get what you mean; like yourself, I’m not blogging to become a celebrity, but the thought comes to mind every now and then because again, like you said who wouldn’t want want money, the popularity and the brand partnerships?
