Healthy Halloween Treats

Halloween is such a fun time of the year to celebrate, but it doesn’t have to be an unhealthy one.

There are so many great healthy Halloween treat options out there for those of you who want to join in on the fun without consuming unhealthy candies or breaking the calorie bank.

Here Are Some of My Favorite Healthy Halloween Treats from Some Lovely Bloggers:

Ogre Eyes Hot Cocoa – TasteofHome.com

This recipe for Halloween themed hot cocoa from Taste of Home is so cute and simple! Halloween fun doesn’t need to be complicated and this simple treat is a fun and healthy way to enjoy the spirit of the holiday with little effort and less calories. Also, the cocoa actually benefits your heart health and skin – even more so if you use dark chocolate or add dark chocolate chips ♥

DIY Banana Mummies – LexiesKitchen.com

These DIY Banana Mummies from Lexie’s Kitchen are so cute and very easily customized to suit your tastes! It’s a lower sugar option as well because it uses bananas, coconut sugar, and cocoa butter instead of caramel. Plus, you can add chocolate chips, raisins, shredded coconut, or whatever you like to customize them!

Jack-O-Lantern Grilled Cheese Sandwiches – CleanandScentsible.com

It might just be that I’m hungry, but these Jack-O-Lantern Grilled Cheese Sandwiches look delicious! Who says Halloween treats have to be sweet anyway? Creating a Halloween themed dinner with your kids or friends can be just as fun and yummy!

Spider Rice Krispie Treats – CookiesandCups.com

These Spider Krispies from Cookies and Cups look super cute and they’re a fun spin on traditional rice krispie treats which a fun for kids and, let’s be honest, super delicious for anyone within a 5 foot radius of your kitchen. Her tutorial for this looks so fun and cute!

Strawberry Ghosts – PBS.org

These Strawberry Ghosts are so cute and a fun healthy spin on chocolate covered fruit which, when you think about it, should be involved in every holiday gathering. Fruit is so delicious and it can be customized into so many ways to suit Halloween (or any holiday) and chocolate covered fruit is just as good as candy if not better than in my opinion!
