4 Makeup Colors for Spring with HP x360

HP Pavilion helped create a #bendtherules moment for me when they sent me their incredible new HP x360 to try out recently! I was, obviously, over the freaking moon about this because they make amazing laptops and tablets, but when they told me they were partnering with Meghan Trainor to help cover behind-the-scenes footage of her “That Bass” tour, I knew I really couldn’t say no. I mean, who wasn’t obsessed with her song “All About That Bass”?

I remember when I first heard that song it was on YouTube and she was really hardly known. I immediately became obsessed with the song and then it felt like 5 seconds later, she had completely blown up. It definitely felt like she went viral, though I’m sure there was a lot of hard work involved and HP is helping her make an even bigger impact on her US tour, all with the help of their HP x360!

I created a makeup look using my 4 favorite colors for spring inspired by the 4 modes of the HP x360 ♥

Each of the colors are pretty colors you can rock this spring because what better way to bend the rules then to, well, bend them…with makeup 😛

The 4 Modes of HP x360: Laptop, Tablet, Tent and Stand

This computer has impressive build quality. If the price of this was any indication (it’s quite cheap at around $399 USD for all that it comes with), I was expecting it to be a lot less impressive than it is.

There are 4 modes to this incredible piece of tech machinery and different ways it can be utilized. I thought it was weird that the campaign was called #BendtheRules, but now I get it. This PC is something really unique! First, it’s obviously totally functional as a laptop, albeit a really light one! Second, it also functions as a tablet because you can fold the keyboard 360 degrees behind the display screen with impressive touch screen capabilities. Thirdly, you can bend the keyboard back into a 90 degree angle and use the tablet to watch films or YouTube videos without holding it up as the keyboard will also act as a stand. The last mode is just another way you can use the display hands-free and that’s in the “tent” mod where bend the keyboard back into a 45 degree angle and it also works as a kind of stand as well.

The different ways to use this tablet is really awesome and unexpected because I have used both tablets and laptops, but nothing that had the qualities of both combined. My favorite mode is a toss-up between tend and tablet because they both making using this a lot easier and more mobile-friendly which is something I really like. I’m constantly moving around my house and this is much lighter than a heavy laptop and has mobility, unlike an actually desktop computer. I also love the screen as it is really clear and has touch screen capability, the keyboard works well for blogging and general data-entry type of work, and the Beats audio speakers are amazing for listening to music while I work! The audio speakers by Beats was something I didn’t expect to be included in such a budget-friendly PC option so that was fun to use while blogging as well.

Notable Features of the HP x360:

Thanks to my very tech-savvy boyfriend, I’ve learned quite a bit about computers in our over 7 year relationship. That means I can now talk to you about all the high tech properties this laptop/tablet 2-in-1 (with 4 modes) machine has. Yay for me (and hopefully you, too, LOL)!

4 Makeup Colors for Spring Inspired by the 4 Modes of HP x360:

Emerald – Emerald is definitely one of my favorite colors for spring! It’s such a gorgeous color to use in between late winter and early spring and it has such a gorgeous depth to it that I think it’s a color anyone can wear! I used 2 main products to get this emerald eye makeup look: Butter London WINK Matte Liquid Liner in British Racing Green and Alima Pure Eyeshadows in Ballgown (LE color – no longer available sorry).

Copper – I mainly utilized copper colors to accent my eyes and I used 3 products to get this look: Alima Pure eyeshadow in Coffee Frappé (another LE color sorry!) to line my eyes over the emerald colors, ILIA Mascara in Macao, and RMS Beauty cream shadow in Lunar as a base and highlight to various areas of my face and as a base for all the eye shadow colors.

Peach – I used my new favorite blush palette from Hourglass which I reviewed here. I used Incandescent Electra to get peachy pink flushed cheeks and it looks really natural on me 🙂

Marsala – Last, but not least, I used the Santé Cosmetics lipstick in No. 5 on my lips and it’s really the perfect color for spring lips! Review coming soon for Santé products! Other great lip products include ILIA Lipstick in Femme Fatale, Vapour Siren Lipstick in Dare, and Alima Pure Velvet Lipstick in Beatrice.

* Note: Although some of the Alima Pure colors I used are not available, you can find similar colors from them at The Detox Market!

Other products used to create this look include the Kjaer Weis Cream Foundation in Like Porcelain, Vapour Beauty Illusionist Concealer in 010, Vapour Beauty Illusionist Concealer in 030 (to contour), and Hourglass Arch Brow Pencil in Dark Brunette.

HP Is Going “On Tour” With Meghan Trainor!

In other exciting HP news, HP has partnered up with Meghan Trainor on her “That Bass” Tour and they are documenting a TON of behind-the-scenes action in a number of episodes! Not only will you be able to catch a glimpse of Meghan performing on tour, but you’ll get to see other fun tidbits of her life on the road as well! How does this #BendtheRules, you ask? Simple. HP began their partnership with Meghan Trainor by helping create her “Lips Are Movin” music video using their HP x360! and help from some of the biggest stars on YouTube, Instagram and Vine and now they’re following her on the road of her entire US Tour and capturing more behind-the-scenes footage!

They’re all definitely doing a whole lot of rule-bending what with unique PC models (for HP) and it’s incredible versatility and the incredible whirlwind that is Meghan Trainor who was previously a total unknown and became a literal overnight sensation after coming out with her “All About that Bass” song on YouTube. Did I mention she’s only 20? It’s totally crazy awesome, right? 🙂 You can learn more about how they worked together to create the “Lips Are Movin” music video here: Behind-the-Scenes Music Video: “Lips Are Movin” by Meghan Trainor ♥
